Murdered Because They Were Jewish

Dear Friend,

I can’t believe this happened in our nation’s capital. 

It would be a tragedy anywhere, but seeing the news out of Washington, D.C., is even more heartbreaking.

I’m talking about the brutal murder of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim. 

These were young people…both still in their twenties…who had their lives cut short for one reason and one reason only. 

They were murdered because they were Jewish.

This is very personal to me because I knew them. 

Yaron was an evangelical Christian and fervent supporter of Israel. He served in the IDF before joining the diplomatic service and being sent to the Israeli Embassy in Washington. 

Yaron had just bought an engagement ring, and he was planning a proposal on the trip they were supposed to make next week to Jerusalem.

Now instead of getting ready to celebrate a wedding, their families are planning funeral services of two young people murdered because they were Jewish.

This is the true face of anti-Semitism…the ancient demonic evil is alive and well in our world today. 

 Only demonic forces could make a young man travel from Chicago to Washington to kill people he didn’t know. 

The only thing the killer knew is that there was an event being held at the Jewish Capital Museum. So that’s where he went to find his targets.

When the murderer, Elias Rodriguez, was arrested, he screamed, “Free Palestine.” 

That’s the same chant being heard on college campuses across the country. 

What does it mean? 

It means the destruction of all Jews and the Jewish state.

The tragic reality is that the devil is winning the battle for the hearts and minds of young people, turning them against the Jewish state and the Jewish people. And he’s doing it primarily online and through social media.

And that is where we have to fight back.

God has given us a powerful voice on social media. 

We are by far the largest pro-Israel evangelical presence on the Internet. And we are working on plans right now to create content that will spread the truth — told in a way that today’s young people will hear it — and counter the stream of lies poisoning young minds.

But we can’t do this without you. 

I’m asking you today to send your special gift in memory of Yaron and Sarah so that we can do everything possible to fight and win the most important battle taking place in our world today in the arena where it is being fought.

I have a contract waiting to launch with 200 prime time spots. 

This effort to combat anti-Semitism will cost $4 million, but the state of Israel has agreed to pay half the expense.

We can’t stop feeding poor Holocaust survivors. 

We can’t stop ministering to the families of those still held hostage. 

We can’t stop housing refugees. 

We can’t stop reaching out to young IDF soldiers suffering the physical and mental scars of war. 

We can’t stop calling Believers together to prayer.

This outreach on social media must be done in addition to all these things. 

So please stop right now and ask God how He wants you to respond…and then do it.
