“You have come into the kingdom for such a time as this.”

Dear Friend,

As I write this, Israel is once again in a life and death war with Iran, ancient Persia.

The rockets are falling, warning sirens are wailing, and Jewish people are hiding in bunkers and bomb shelters and safe rooms.

I arrived in Israel just hours before the massive Israeli and American attack that cut the head off the Iranian snake.

Of course, Iran has retaliated, and missiles and drones are hitting Israel, and the warning sirens keep going off to warn of new attacks.

Iran has increased the barrage to up to 30 missiles at a time. 11 Israelis were killed in the last 24 hours, and over 50 were wounded.

I was at both sites shortly after the attack. I refused to get in a bomb shelter.

In one attack, they blew up a synagogue where a man in his 30s begged his mother to get in the bomb shelter before the attack. She did along with her mother and her four-year-old daughter. When the ballistic missile hit, his father and his mother-in-law were killed. His mother and little sister were both wounded.

I was at the hospital today, praying for that little girl. I went to the funeral with the mother, grieving with her over the loss of her beloved family. She told me her husband wrote her a letter hours before the attack…a beautiful, beautiful letter, and he never wrote letters.

I am working with our whole team in Israel and all the Friends of Zion Center staff to mobilize our response. We are doing everything possible to help suffering people of Israel during this crisis.

But I urgently need your help. Our income has been down, and everyone is begging for our help.

I need to give funds to this precious family who have lost everything. Their home was blown up along with their car and their clothing. The precious woman is now a widow, and her child is an orphan.

There are dozens of stories like this.

I’ve just come from a bomb shelter filled with Holocaust survivors. Most of them are in their late 80s and even 90s. Many are very ill and very alone, desperately needing our help.

I’m asking you to go with me — not physically, but spiritually through your fervent prayers and financially with your most generous gift possible today.

This is not the first time a plot has been hatched in Persia to exterminate the Jewish people.

And make no mistake, that is exactly what Iran wants to do. They do not want to leave a single living Jewish man, woman, or child in the land of Israel or anywhere else around the world.

Long ago, Haman unveiled a plot from the depths of hell, inspired by the principalities and powers of the demonic world. The king approved the plan for all the Jews to be killed. But a young woman named Hadassah (Esther) heard the call: “You have come into the kingdom for such a time as this.” She put her life on the line, and the Jewish people were spared. Her name still echoes and will into eternity because she heard and obeyed the voice of God.

I’m willing to put my life on the line. I do not fear being in Israel during a war. I’ve been here in Israel for every major conflict since 1982.

The only thing I fear is disobeying God. I’m asking you to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit of God and join hands with me as we stand in the gap like Esther did.

I’ve had diplomats and leaders beg me to stop going into the fire, but I will not stop.

I’ll be honest with you. I’d consider it an honor to give my life for God‘s Chosen People. If that happens, I’ll die with a smile on my face doing something great for God.

I do not fear death. My father strangled me at age 11 when I attempted to defend my Jewish mother. That night Jesus appeared to me and said, “Son, I love you and have a great plan for your life.”

I say that to you right now…God loves you and has a great plan for your life. That great plan includes you being my partner and doing something great for suffering Jewish people.

I say to you today what Haman said to Esther, “You have come into the kingdom for such a time as this.”

The ancient prophet Daniel also lived in Persia. He had a troubling vision about a coming great war. For three weeks, he fasted and prayed. While Daniel was praying, a battle was raging in the unseen realm against the demonic power known as the “prince of Persia.” He prevented the angel God sent with the answer to Daniel’s prayer from arriving until the archangel Michael was sent to win the victory and deliver the message to Daniel.

Because of his faithfulness and obedience, Daniel’s name also echoes still today. Daniel said, “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever” (Daniel 12:3).

I’m asking you right now to be wise…and be a Daniel or an Esther and go with me as my partner through prayers and through your giving.

The Spirit of God, through the Word of God, is crying out to you right now with these words, “Comfort ye, comfort ye, My people, saith your God.”

The opportunity of a lifetime has to be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity.

In times of war, usually everyone runs and flees. For more than 50 years now, God has told me to run into the fire. But I don’t want to go alone. I want you to go with me. The needs are enormous.

I can see their faces and hear their cries. There are masses of Jewish people in Israel who do not have the necessary provisions, food and medicine, and other vital necessities for this crisis. We also must continue caring for Holocaust survivors. These are very elderly people. Most of them are ill and alone, and they desperately need our help now.

We’ve also been caring for widows and for orphans and for wounded Israelis from the wars and terror attacks. There are so very many needs that are urgent right now for this suffering nation that you can help meet with your gift today.

And I assure you, your prayers will do for the Jewish people what Daniel and Esther’s prayers did for them in their day. Thank you in advance for responding to this urgent need. God bless you.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans
