Dear Friend,
Five months ago, I laid out our plans to answer the call of my dear friend, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “reach the next generation” with the message of support for Israel and the Jewish people.
When I met him for the first time on July 4, 1980, he was grieving his brother who was killed fighting terrorists. That day I told him, “You will be the prime minister of Israel.”
The next day I met with Prime Minister Menachem Begin and asked him to give “Bibi” his first position in the government. On my last trip to Israel, I met with him again, and I told him, “God chose you for this day when you were 28.”
The next generation matters so much because the evil we are seeing unfold is largely coming from young people. That is true of the Hamas fighters who carried out the October 7 attack.
Young Palestinian children are taught that Jews have horns and tails, and that they are the cause of war and disease.
And we have seen huge numbers of young people in the Western world taking over college campuses, public events, and even closing freeways in protest, while at the same time, raising money for Hamas.
The week I wrote that letter to you was the week that 3,500 demon-possessed young terrorists massacred more Jews than at any time since the Holocaust.
God knew what was coming, and there is no doubt in my mind that He began preparing us even before the Hamas invasion for the response. This is our Esther moment…our Nehemiah moment…our Moses moment. This is our “such a time as this.”
The response of the world — including many in the United States — showed that Jew-hatred is not limited to terrorists wearing head scarves and carrying Russian-made weapons. And as I am writing you, before me is a powder brush from an 18-year-old girl who was gang raped then burned alive. Next to it is a Russian bullet.
Every Jew who was murdered was killed with Russian bullets.
God hating leftists are gaining power in America and Europe. They are on college campuses and on the streets of our biggest cities. Tens of thousands marched under banners saying, “From the river to the sea.” This terrorist phrase is nothing less than a call for the complete destruction of Israel.
And tragically, polling shows that many young people in America and the rest of the Western world are just fine with that. One shocking survey revealed that over half of people between 18-25 supported abolishing Israel and giving all the land to the Palestinians.
When I wrote about this before, I had no idea that six days later the need for this new outreach would be laid bare for the whole world to see.
The horrible events of October 7 and the war that followed the brazen and brutal invasion of Israel by terrorists trained and armed and funded and controlled by Iran showed the face of demonic evil.
So, five months ago, I told you how important Operation Bright Star is.
Today I’m telling you it’s even more important than I thought it was then.
Today’s young people are tomorrow’s leaders. Support for Israel is still strong among older people, but that is not true among young people. Our schools and colleges have become hotbeds of anti-Semitism, indoctrinating their students with lies.
There has been a concerted effort made over the past few years to turn the hearts and minds of young people away from supporting Israel. Demonic principalities and powers have used the Internet and social media to spread lies about Israel and the Jewish people and convince the next generation that Israel does not deserve support…in fact, that the Jewish state does not even deserve to exist.
As you read this today, a war against truth is being waged, delegitimizing Israel’s very right to exist.
The youth of our generation by and large have rejected a biblical worldview and are embracing the lie that Israel is an apartheid state robbing Palestinians of their homeland. In the name of social justice, they are turning against Israel.
Before the war started, one survey showed that 56% of Americans under 30 say they have an unfavorable view of Israel. 56%!!!!
Now the numbers are even worse.
That’s why Operation Bright Star is so vitally important.
And that’s why I’m asking for your help today. Because of the horrible human toll of the Hamas war, that has been our primary focus for these past months. We had to respond.
But we can’t wait any longer to launch this new program. It has to be now.
We must reach the next generation.
We’re working on plans to host a global summit in Jerusalem. We will invite young evangelical leaders from many nations to join us.
We are going to extend to them the call God gave to Abraham…to leave behind the ungodly world, adopt a biblical worldview, and take a stand for Israel now and in the future.
This will be followed by online training, social media outreach, threat identification, and so much more.
The global summit will be the launch of the most important wave of support for Israel…a wave that will still be there long after you and I are gone. It can be our eternal legacy.
There is no doubt that Israel is facing the greatest crisis since the miracle rebirth of the Jewish state in 1948. God has given us a mandate, and we must respond.
Today I’m asking you to join me in believing for the miracle of Operation Bright Star.
I am asking God to touch your heart with this need, and that you will be part of this great legacy.
I am praying that every friend will do something…and that many friends will step forward with a very generous and even sacrificial gift.
You and I have a mandate from God to pass the torch to the next generation. In recent weeks, we’ve seen how crucial that mandate is. Every one of us has that responsibility.
It’s not an option. It’s a command. This is a way for you to fulfill that mandate.
And of course even as we launch this new initiative, we must continue our efforts to help and bless and comfort those who are mourning in Zion.
We can’t stop taking food to poor Holocaust survivors or housing those who lost everything or providing facilities for education of refugee children or anything else that your love and generosity have made possible.
Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans
P.S. We must not fail to answer God’s call to stand in the gap for His Chosen People by reaching the next generation. And we must not fail to bring help and comfort to the suffering souls in Israel. We urgently need your help right now to meet the financial challenges of these vital outreaches. Thank you in advance for your generous response.
P.P.S. I must give Prime Minister Netanyahu an update, so your prompt response is very important.

Operation Bright Star—
This Is Our Moment
The leaders of the next generation have been targeted by a campaign of lies and deception aimed at undermining support for Israel…and it is working. Together we must do our part to pass the torch on to those who come after us, and that is why we’re launching Operation Bright Star. Your generous gift today is an investment in the future and will also help us continue our vital humanitarian work in Israel to those who are suffering so greatly right now.
YES, Dr. Evans, I want to fulfill God’s mandate on our lives and work together and be part of passing the torch to the next generation. My gift is:
