The War Is Raging and We MUST Respond

War has erupted across the region, and Israel is now facing threats from multiple fronts.

Missiles and drones continue to be launched toward Israeli communities. Sirens sound day and night, sending families running to bomb shelters with only seconds to find safety. Children have learned how to respond before they are old enough to understand why.

Entire communities now live with the constant reality that escalation is no longer a possibility—it is happening now.

Across Israel, families are facing displacement, fear, and urgent physical needs.

And in the middle of it all, Friends of Zion is responding.

Our teams are going to hospitals, delivering relief supplies, and bringing food and water to bomb shelters where Holocaust survivors and vulnerable families are taking shelter. In communities facing the greatest danger, we are helping provide practical support and humanitarian aid during this difficult time.

All of this is made possible by the generosity of friends like you who are willing to reach out in Christian love to help suffering Jewish people.

The Growing Threat

What Israel is facing is not a single isolated attack.

This is a coordinated effort to pressure Israel from multiple directions, supported by significant military capability and long-term strategic planning.

Missile systems capable of reaching civilian populations.

Proxy networks operating across borders.

Leadership that continues to openly call for the destruction of Israel.

Even after sustaining losses, there is little indication that this threat is diminishing in the near term.

Which means the situation remains volatile—and uncertain.

The Ideological Factor Few Discuss

There is also another dimension to this conflict that much of the world does not discuss.

Within Iran’s leadership, there is a deeply held belief tied to the coming of the Mahdi.

This belief is not merely theological. It influences how some leaders think about conflict, timing, and long-term outcomes. There is a conviction among some that chaos and large-scale confrontation can help set the stage for this end-time figure.

That means actions that might seem irrational on the surface can, in fact, be intentional.

It also means this conflict cannot be understood through political or military analysis alone. There is a spiritual dimension that must be recognized.

And for those who stand with Israel, that reality should shape not only how we understand what is happening—but how we pray, and how we respond.

Now We Pray – And We Respond

In moments like this, our first response must be prayer:

  • Pray for wisdom for American and Israeli leaders.
  • Pray for protection over those serving in harm’s way.
  • Pray for restraint that prevents wider regional war.
  • Pray for innocent civilians across the Middle East.
  • Pray especially for the people of Israel.

Scripture commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).

But prayer is not passive.

Right now, families across Israel are living under the realities of war—displacement, fear, and urgent needs.
