One Word From God Can Change Your Life Forever

Dear Friend,

My life changed forever when I discovered the dreams God had for me…and yours will too!

As you may know, I was horribly abused as a child, and I didn’t really have any meaningful dreams. The only dream I had was to live to be twenty. When I said that at school that my life’s goal was to be 20, my classmates laughed, but I was being serious. I didn’t think there was any hope for me.

I stuttered. I had stomach ulcers. I lived in fear every day of my life. I never had enough food to eat. I got most of my food from the dump. When I tried to join the Army at 17, I couldn’t meet the 132-pound minimum to enlist. I only weighed 111 pounds even though I was almost 6 feet tall. I faked it with weights hidden under my clothes.

I was the least likely person to do anything. No one who knew me then would have ever believed I would speak to the world on behalf of the Jewish state…be a friend and confidant of world leaders…be invited to the White House…be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize…write more than 120 books…or any of the other things that have happened. I never went to high school. I shared my testimony yesterday with an Israeli diplomat and said, “I would’ve been dead if it hadn’t been a loving God who revealed His dream for me.”

Here’s the secret: None of this is about me. It’s all about God.

God uses broken people when they depend on Him and become part of His dreams. I remember when He spoke to me in my spirit. “I want you to know Me in the fellowship of My suffering.” “No, Lord, I don’t want to know you in the fellowship of your suffering. I’ve already suffered too much.” He answered, “Then you can’t know Me in the power of My resurrection. When you can admit everything you’re not, I will pour into you everything that I am.

It took years before I fully understood that when you’re willing to admit everything you’re not, God will take what you’re not and fill it with everything He is. When those two forces meet, you’ll experience resurrection power.

God had something marvelous that He wanted to do through me at that time, and He has great dreams for your life as well. I don’t want you to miss out!

One word from God can change your life forever. I am giving you a word from God.

The natural world can’t grasp this truth…not even much of the “religious” world. They think you have to be filled with faith or have yourself all together to adventure with God. Want to know a secret? Generally, I’ve never been in a good place when God has given me dreams and used me.

Some people think, I don’t have any dreams. I don’t even have any ideas! Well, I have great news for you. God has plenty. And His dreams impact your destiny and the destiny of this world. You have to know why you were born. And the only one who can tell you the answer is the One who created you. Will you ask the question and expect an answer in ways that might surprise you? To live a life of dreams, you have to engage with The Dreamer. He has dreams for your life.

The greatest aspect missing from my childhood was not receiving any affirmation. But I later realized that what motivates me to pursue the dreams of God is His divine affirmation. When I see a God-inspired dream come to pass, I’m flooded with a sense of awe and gratitude. It’s like a slap on the shoulder from Father God saying, “I’m proud of you! Great job.” It’s the greatest high, and it all starts because of a dream. And with that affirmation comes favor with others.

My daughter has been with me when I met with leaders of Israel, and many other leaders from all over the world. Every time she’d come out of these meetings, she’d cry in the car, “Dad, they love you! They respect you. They ask you questions. It’s beyond anything I could have imagined. You do have divine affirmation.”

I’ve been married more than 55 years to my best friend. My children love me. I’ve never dabbled in drugs or alcohol, and yet I had one of the most dysfunctional childhoods imaginable. When you receive divine affirmation, it fills the quest to be loved. Only then can you focus on giving love.

I’ll be honest with you. I would never have chosen me. I was the most broken child, and certainly not one who had any gifts. I didn’t finish high school. I never took a writing course, nor a speaking course. But God is crazy about me, and He’s crazy about you.

Carolyn and I had been married and living in a mobile home for a few years. We went and looked at a house for sale on Dream Lane. The price was $10,200, and the owner told me that he would finance the purchase if we put $3,200 down. This was on a Friday, and I told him I would bring the money on Monday.

We had less than $100 in the bank, and when we got in the car Carolyn looked at me, and I said, “I know what you’re thinking, but I believe God wants us to have this house. I feel like I’m pregnant with a dream, and it is going to be delivered.”

On Monday morning I went to the post office and there was one small envelope in the mailbox. It was from a cotton farmer in Arkansas named Charles Capps. I didn’t call him and tell him about the need. I didn’t ask him for help. But God put it on his heart to send a check for exactly the amount we needed, $3,200 on exactly the day we needed it. In the natural, that was impossible, but with God nothing is impossible.

Here’s the thing: when God births a dream, He signs the check!

Today I’m asking you this question…a question I often ask to new people I meet: “What are the two greatest days of your life?” Here’s the answer: “The day you’re born and the day you find out why you were born.”

I’m writing you today because I believe God has opened the door for you right now. Step through it and dream big and watch Him take the limits off your life and pour into you gifts that you couldn’t imagine as you take this journey with me. Take the limits off your life and relationship with God and dream big. We serve a big God and big dreams honor Him.

There is a place below where you can share the dream God has placed in your heart with me. There is something powerful about not keeping the dream to yourself. God encourages us to write our dreams down and share them.

“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it” (Habakkuk 2:2).

“The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD” (Jeremiah 23:28).

Maybe your dream is a ministry opportunity. Perhaps it centers on family or personal relationships. Maybe it is about a great healing. Whatever it is, if you will share it with me today, I will join you in believing that God will work in your life in a way that you have never seen before.

You might be thinking I’m old and broken and God doesn’t have any more dreams for me. You’re so wrong! Moses was 80 years old, hiding out in the desert when God revealed his dream. Abraham was 100 years old when he had Isaac.

How can I be confident that God is dreaming big dreams for you? Because I believe the promises of His Word, and I’ve seen it happen again and again and again.

And I’m confident because the promise of Genesis 12:3 is still in full effect, and through your financial support of Friends of Zion, you are truly blessing God’s Chosen People in so many vital ways.

Your gift makes it possible for us to deliver food to poor Holocaust survivors, provide clothing, medicine, and more to those who were forced to leave their homes, bring comfort and help to the families of the hostages from the war, minister help to young IDF soldiers dealing with post-traumatic stress, and so much more.

I’m asking you to give generously to meet the most urgent needs of suffering Jewish people. After more than two years of war with Hamas, the nation is still reeling economically. Every day we are receiving pleas for help from people who have nowhere else to turn.

The needs are great, and God is calling us to comfort His Chosen People. Will you do that with your gift today? I pray that your answer will be YES so that we can say YES to provide help to hurting hearts.

Friends of Zion is God’s dream. He told me this is a 100-year plan. Teamwork makes the dream work. You are part of His dream and part of His team. Jesus always went up to Jerusalem and worshiped the Father with a holy offering. Would you do the same right now and join me in touching the lives of suffering Jewish people?

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans

P.S. Israel is God’s dream—the apple of His eye. When we stand in support with the Jewish state and the Jewish people, we are joining God’s purpose and plan, and we can confidently ask Him to work in our lives. Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today. The needs are urgent, and we must not delay the help that is so desperately needed right now.

God is still calling Believers to stand in the gap for Israel and be part of His plan to bless the children of Abraham…and receive His blessing in return.  Your support makes it possible for Friends of Zion to meet the urgent needs of suffering Jewish people, combat the dark tide of anti-Semitism rising around the world, call Believers together to pray, and so much more. Please be as generous as you can when you give today.
