“I Was Afraid I Would Starve.”
Right now in Israel, children, struggling families, elderly widows, and Holocaust survivors are wondering where their next meal will come from.
Miriam is 82, a widow in Haifa. When war sent prices soaring, her small pension could no longer cover even the basics.
“I was afraid I would starve,” she told our team.
Miriam never imagined that in her later years, living in the land of Israel, she would wonder where her next meal would come from.
Yet that is the heartbreaking reality for thousands of Israelis today. Children are going to bed hungry. Mothers are skipping meals so their little ones can eat. Fathers who have lost jobs are struggling to provide for their families. Elderly widows and Holocaust survivors are wondering how they will survive another month.
When our team brought Miriam food, she wept.
“I feel like someone cares about me. I feel like I’m not forgotten.”
That is what your compassion can say to a hungry Jewish family:
You are not forgotten. We are standing with you.
Every $3 you give helps provide a warm, nutritious meal for someone in Israel who is hungry.
$30 can help feed 10 hungry children and adults.
$60 can help feed 20.
$100 can help feed more than 30.
Will you help feed the hungry in Israel today?
“Comfort ye, comfort ye My people.” — Isaiah 40:1
Your gift is tax-deductible and will be used where it is needed most to help provide food and compassionate care through the ministry of Friends of Zion.
Thank you for standing with Israel.
