A Day That Will Touch The World

Dear Friend,

I don’t know a better way to share with you the amazing and powerful impact you are having on the Jewish people through your love and support in these difficult days than this: we have been officially asked to host the only Global Solidarity Event for Israel on October 7, the anniversary of the deadly Hamas attack, at your Friends of Zion Center in Jerusalem.

This is incredible! What an amazing opportunity!

For more than ten months now, we’ve been standing on the front lines of the fight for Israel’s future, responding to help meet the urgent needs of the suffering Jewish people and taking a stand against the rising tide of anti-Semitism sweeping across the world.

You and I are standing in the gap. 

Now we have been asked to do something very special.

God has placed this amazing open door before us, and today I’m asking you to join hands with me so we can walk through it together.

Why is this so important? 

Because the entire world turned on Israel after October 7, demonstrating against Israel and in support of Hamas. It was anti-Semitism like I have never seen in my lifetime. You remember the demonstrations on university campuses calling for the end of the Jewish state.

We’re planning for a day that will touch the world.

Though we will be marking a year filled with sorrow, loss, pain, and suffering, we will also be marking a year filled with help and hope. We must build support for the Jewish people with the truth because lies get them killed.

The terrorists who attacked Israel had been taught all their lives that Jews have horns and tails, and that they are responsible for death and disease and war.

We will welcome survivors of that brutal attack. We will welcome widows and orphans and those who lost other loved ones. We will welcome those who have been injured in the fight to defend Israel, the young soldiers putting their lives and limbs on the line for Israel. We will welcome those whose family members are still being held hostage.

This Global Solidarity Event for Israel will be shared around the world from your Friends of Zion Center. 

We will touch so many hearts and lives at this special event. 

My friend former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman will chair the event. We have invited world leaders, including former President Donald Trump to attend or send a message.

As you may remember, we responded immediately when Hamas attacked. I flew to Israel to coordinate our response. The team on the ground did an amazing job, finding the people who needed help the most and getting it to them as quickly as possible. 

I wish you could meet some of the thousands of precious people your love and generosity have helped. 

I’m thinking of a precious mother who came with her three children to Friends of Zion. Her husband held the door closed as long as he could to defend them, but he was killed by Hamas. You helped her.

I’m thinking of a young IDF soldier who was seriously injured by an IED. I met with him and his family at the hospital, prayed with him, and provided some things they desperately needed. You helped him.

I’m thinking of a bewildered family from Sderot near the Gaza border who had seen their home destroyed. They came to stay with us at one of the apartments on the Friends of Zion campus. You helped them.

What we are doing at the Global Solidarity Event for Israel is what we have been doing every day for the past ten months…and what we are going to keep doing. 

We must stand with the suffering people of Israel now more than ever.

But we can’t do it without you.

Today I’m asking you to become a Founding Sponsor of the Global Solidarity Event for Israel with your gift of $100 or more. Your name, or the name of someone you wish to honor or remember, will be listed for everyone to see as one of those who helped make this great event a reality and provided the resources to help so many people in need.

Some people can do even more. I am praying that 10 friends of Zion will give $5,000 and that 2 defenders of Zion will give $10,000. Please prayerfully consider what God would have you do to help.

We’ve got less than two months to put everything together for October 7. 

And of course, we can’t stop meeting the urgent needs of the suffering Jewish people between now and then. So we need your help today.

I’m asking you to be as generous as you can with your gift. 

The needs have not gone away. 

The rockets and missiles are still falling, and the drones are still exploding, and the people of Israel are still suffering. 

There are tens of thousands of people still unable to return to their homes. 

There are tens of thousands of soldiers putting their lives on the line every day for their people.

We must tell them they are not alone. More important, we must show them they are not alone. 

Everything that the Jerusalem Prayer Team has done for the suffering people of Israel is only possible because of the love and generous support of friends like you.

I believe God brought us together “for such a time as this.” 

Now we have an opportunity to do something truly great for Him, and I’m praying that you join with us in this great cause.

We must not be silent while the world is attacking Israel. 

The prophet Daniel said, “The people who know their God will be strong and do exploits,” and that is what I am asking you to do today.
