The Power of Blessing

Dear Friend,

It’s 4:21 AM, and the Holy Spirit has awakened me, talking about you. I had a dream about you. The Bible says old men will dream dreams. And I heard the Spirit saying over and over and over again, “The blessing, the blessing, the blessing.” And then I heard, “You shall not see Me until you shall say, blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.”

It may be one of the most powerful revelations in the entire Bible. You know the revelation of this Scripture. Jesus was saying to the Jewish people, “You shall not see Me until you’re able to say ‘blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.’” 

In other words, when the Jewish people are able to say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, they will see Him for what that Scripture actually says.

You shall not see me, which is Jesus, until you shall say blessed is the person who comes in My name. The revelation, the power, is on the person who comes in His name. They have the blessing, they can give the blessing, and when they get the blessing you see Me. 

Do you see it? Do you see the power of blessing? Hallelujah!

Probably the most life-changing revelation God ever gave me is when He told me, “Don’t ask Me to bless what you’re doing. Bless what I’m doing.”

That’s where the blessing comes from. One of the greatest revelations in the Bible is, in fact, the blessing. In Psalm 133, David declares a revelation and how you can have the Aaronic anointing and a commanded blessing.

Remember the commanded blessing as the blessing of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? And what is more powerful than the Aaronic anointing, the anointing of Aaron? It’s “the Lord bless you and keep you” from Numbers 6:24-26:

“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”

Hallelujah! That Aaronic anointing is described in Psalm 133, which says, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.” But in the Hebrew, it says, “How beautiful it is when God’s people dwell together or knit together in agreement, or unity. The word is echod. It’s the last word of the most famous Hebrew prayer. Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. That’s the word echod, agreement.

The word pleasant in Psalm 133 means musical in Hebrew and the word dwell is the word for tent. So when we are in the same tent in agreement, it produces music in God’s ears. The word echod is found in the book of Joel where it says to echodzell, which means to prophecy. 

In other words, when we are in agreement with the Word and the Spirit and with each other, it releases prophetic power.

And I’m asking you to join hands with me in agreement — in a covenant of support for Israel and an agreement for God’s blessing in your life. 

That’s why I’ve sent you a Blessing Wristband. I wear one like this every day of my life. When people ask me how I’m doing, I respond, “I am blessed and highly favored. I’m the most blessed man I know.” 

The blessings and favor I am experiencing are not the result of me being something special…it’s all about God. The amazing favor is on my life because of a covenant I cut with God many years ago…and His faithfulness to keep His promises. I give God all the glory for the amazing things that have happened and are happening right now.

When you and I are in agreement with the Spirit of the Word, that agreement releases the blessing. It releases prophetic power. That’s what happened to Abraham. It’s the power of the blessing. 

Friends of Zion is God’s dream. He told me it was a 100-year plan. It’s the most astonishing work in the whole state of Israel. It’s the crown jewel in Israel’s eyes. It’s the home of the Bible believers in the world, and you built it, hallelujah! You dreamed the dream with me, and together we saw it come to life.

When you dream the dream, there is a blessing He puts on you that gives you an advantage. It causes you to rise up when circumstances are trying to put you down. It causes you to cover illnesses when experts say you won’t. It causes you to accomplish dreams that look impossible. It’s not just your talent, your skill, your determination. It’s a supernatural force behind you fighting your battles, opening doors you couldn’t be opening, bringing the right people, not just good breaks.

That’s the blessing on your life. 

It causes you to prosper, and when others are struggling, it brings promotion, brings a supernatural anointing; it brings a blessing that there’s not room enough to contain. The devourer is rebuked in your life. The things that everyone else spends their whole life struggling over, you see breakthrough. It’s a blessing upon you. The crooked place has become straight.

He says, I’m doing a new thing, showing up, knowing I will make a way with rivers in the desert. That’s the blessing. 

That’s the Scripture God gave me when he sent me to Menachem Begin to tell him that Benjamin Netanyahu would be Prime Minister when he was 28 years old. That’s the Scripture God gave me when I anointed Benjamin with oil and prophesied over him the day before.

When you have the blessing, you don’t have high blood pressure. It causes you to have peace. It frees you from worrying about your finances or your future or your children. 

You stay in peace, you know God’s got you. You’ve got the blessing. When others are discouraged, you’re encouraged. You wake up and say bless the Lord, O my soul, hallelujah!

This is what David did. Goliath was twice his size. He was a warrior. He had a full set of armor. David was a kid. The soldiers of Israel said David would be killed in a second. But David knew the blessing was on his life. He took a slingshot and a few stones and defeated Goliath because he knew he came in the name of the Lord, hallelujah!

Remember what I said to you, you shall not see me until you say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord? David declared he came in the name of the Lord with a slingshot. The blessing is more powerful than a tank is without the blessing. 

Your dream and where to praise for the blessing will move mountains. The blessings, not natural, but supernatural, will bring supernatural favor and opportunities in your life. The blessing will cause people to chase you down to bless you. You don’t have to go over to them. The blessing causes them to go after you.

You don’t have to live frustrated. The blessing will bring the right breaks and the right people. It’s God showing up in your life. Goodness and mercy will overcome you. It will chase you down, your cup will run over in the presence of your enemies. Say it right now, “Father, thank you. I am blessed. I’m dreaming Your dream. You’ve commanded blessing upon my life. You said Your Jewish people would not see You until they could say blessing is he who comes in the name of the Lord. I am coming in Your name, and they are calling me a blessing.”

I never had my father’s approval. He never called me son. He never said “I love you.” He never affirmed me, but when my father died, he left me everything. That’s what the blessing does. I felt led by the Spirit to tell the attorneys to give it all to my six brothers and sisters because they were cursing him and he was cursing them. But I do have my Heavenly Father’s approval. He loves me and has a great plan for my life. That’s what He told me at 11 years of age after my father strangled me when I tried to defend my Jewish mother.

Blessing will cause you to not focus on what you’re going through, but who you’re going to. God said in the Psalms, “Touch not My anointed.” You are His anointed. You have the blessing. When people come against you, they’re not just messing with you. They’re messing with God who put His blessing on you. You don’t have to fight those battles. You have a defender. God’s got you. You don’t have to be bound with bitterness trying to figure out ways to get even. You can stay in peace. The battle is the Lord’s. He’s the defender. He’s your vindicator. The blessedness on your life is that God is your source.  He is the one that gives you streams in the desert.

The blessing will cause your health to blossom when the doctors say you’re dying. He reverses the curses. At 19 years of age after being in the Army for three years, I was in Philadelphia. I had everything I owned to my name stolen. It was all in my car, my wallet, my clothes, everything. That night I slept in the Salvation Army, but God spoke to me. And he said, “Your eyes have not seen, your ears have not heard, it’s not entered into your spirit, the things I prepared for you, but I will reveal them to you by My Holy Spirit.” That’s the blessing.

When Carolyn and I began this ministry, and I shared the vision the first time in Columbus, Indiana, in a snowstorm, our old car had burned up, and we had a six-month-old baby. And a man came up to me, Gene Darnell, and took me to lunch and then purchased us a new car and kept saying, “Shiloh, Shiloh, Shiloh, God has told me I’m to be your first partner.” That’s the blessing.

And then 72 hours later, we were driving through Arkansas, and we stopped at Bill Roetzell’s Motorhomes. And I prayed over a motorhome that we could attach to our car, since we didn’t have a house. Bill was having his morning devotion and felt led of the Lord to look out the window. He saw me praying and was told, “That’s a man of God that will touch the nation of Israel. Give him that brand new motorhome.” He came out crying and said, “I’ve never done this in my life before.” That’s the blessing.

And when I needed another car and was invited to lunch at the home of a wealthy man, as I walked out the door to leave, I saw his beautiful car, and for just a few seconds, I put my hand on it and blessed it. And he called me up almost a month later and said to me, “Did you put your hand on my car?” I said, “Why?” He said, “Because since the day you came to my house, every night I wake up, and I can’t sleep. The Spirit of God says give the man of God your car.” I laughed and said, “Yes, I did.” He said, “Well, come get it, but don’t put your hand on my house!” That’s the blessing.

And when we wanted to purchase our first home, which would also be our ministry headquarters, for $10,200, I had less than $100 in the bank. I told the owner of the house who was going to carry the note that we would bring $3,200 Monday morning. It seemed crazy in the natural. But Monday morning I went to the post office to find a little envelope in there. Just one. It was from a man in England, Arkansas, a cotton farmer by the name of Charles Capps and a check for $3,200. That’s the blessing.

You know what I’m thinking as I’m writing you? I’m going to be going to the post office, and there will be an envelope from you to bless Israel in it. That’s the blessing that will be on this ministry and will be on you.

Many years ago, we founded the Corrie Ten Book Holocaust Museum. Corrie told me God gave her a birthday gift on her 51st birthday while she was in a Nazi death camp. The gift was the last verse of the 91 Psalm “With long life shall I satisfy you.” Corrie was miraculously released days before all the women her age were put to death. She died on her 91st birthday. The Lord’s gift was 40 more years of life. One act of obedience can change your life forever.
