God is calling us to take a stand and bless His Chosen People

The day before the presidential election, I flew to Israel. Even though everyone was saying how close it would be, I had a very strong feeling that President Trump was going to win a second term in office after his defeat in 2020…something that has only happened once before in American history.

I watched the returns come in with people in Israel, and they were thrilled to see a true friend of Israel back in the White House. 

It’s not an issue of Republican versus Democrat. There are Democrats who are strong supporters of Israel. This was about the prospect of a Harris Administration that would have worked to divide Jerusalem, force Israel to withdraw from Judea and Samaria (the so-called West Bank), and tied Israel’s hands in dealing with Iran.

There is a great celebration taking place in Israel…and you are part of it. We put up billboards across the country congratulating President Trump and urging him to stand firm in support and defense of Israel, just as he did during his first term in office.

As you may know, I have been a friend of Benjamin Netanyahu for more than 40 years, and during the first Trump Administration, I was on the inside of their efforts with Israel. No one else that I know of was closer to the two of them at the same time. 

Those four years were years of amazing breakthroughs. The U.S. Embassy was finally moved to Jerusalem in recognition of its rightful status as the capital of Israel. The Golan Heights were officially recognized as part of Israel. The Abraham Accords brought Israel closer to peace with the Arab nations than it has ever been before.

You played a crucial role in all of this. Vice President Pence personally told me at the White House what a huge impact our Jerusalem Prayer Team members had on Israel and the Middle East. The simple truth is that much of the good that was done would not have happened if you had not prayed and spoken out and given to make it possible.

Even as Israel is celebrating the election results, they are fighting for their survival. 

While I was in Israel, hundreds of missiles, rockets, and drones were fired into the Jewish state. I heard and saw those rockets and heard the explosions as Israel’s missile defense system went into action to shoot them down.

The fighting in both Gaza and Lebanon continues to be intense. In a single week, 23 IDF soldiers were killed, and more than 50 children left without fathers. Dozens of Israeli civilians have been killed, and hundreds wounded in the ongoing bombardment of Israel. And more than 100,000 people have been driven from their homes.

I wept and prayed with an elderly Russian Jew — a Holocaust survivor — whose home was destroyed. I talked to mayors of towns where more than half the people have had to flee because they don’t have enough bomb shelters.

And the truth is things are likely to get much worse. American politics impact countries like Iran, and now that the election is over, but Donald Trump is not yet president, the door is wide open. 

Israel is gearing up to defend against major attacks, and planning ways to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons…and they are so close. They now have enough enriched uranium…they just need the technology for warheads, and Russia is working closely with Iran so that could happen at any time.

So our help is needed now more than ever. There is a massive amount of Israelis who are homeless now, and many of them have lost everything. Their homes were blown up, they lost their furniture, they lost their clothes and more. There are also huge numbers of widows and orphans who urgently need our help.
