It’s one of the biggest miracles Jerusalem has seen in almost 2,000 years!

Dear Friend,

What I’m about to tell you is impossible…but it happened!

And the reason I’m sharing this great miracle with you is that it is your miracle…you helped make it happen.

The generous friends and partners God has blessed us with have truly changed the world. Here’s the story.

On January 20th, I was in Jerusalem at your Friends of Zion Center with hundreds of Jewish people — many of them Orthodox Jews — to celebrate the inauguration of President Trump for his second term in office.

It was an incredible party, filled with laughter and joy. People lined up for blocks waiting to get in.

But as I looked around the room, I didn’t see the celebration. I saw the miracle.

The idea that Jewish people would come to a Christian ministry headed by a Jew who is a Believer in the Holy City was impossible just a decade ago. And the idea that there could be a line around the block to get into a boldly Christian center – was beyond comprehension. BUT IT HAPPENED!

Most Jewish people think Christians hate them. That’s what my mother taught me when I was growing up. And I saw the evidence in the bruises my church-going father left when he beat her, as he did almost every week.

When I was with Franklin Graham at the Blair House in Washington, D.C., to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu, I told him, “I was watching cartoons, and your father came on TV preaching the gospel. My Jewish mother shut it off and said, ‘Never watch this again. Christians kill Jews. Christians hate Jews. Jesus died, don’t dig Him up. I named you after my grandfather Rabbi Mikel Katz-Nelson who was burned to death in his synagogue with 2,000 Jews by Christians. The Pope, Adolf Hitler and Billy Graham were all Christians.’”

Professing Christians threw tomatoes and eggs at my mother on Friday nights when she went grocery shopping and spray painted our house with the words “Jew Witch.”

The Holocaust was carried out in large part by people who claimed to be Christians. Many of the churches in Germany supported the Nazi party, and some even had swastikas on their altars!”

The normal response of a Jewish person to a Christian is caution or even suspicion. But together we’ve changed that!

As I stood outside your Friends of Zion Center that night, I couldn’t help but remember the day I stood in front of that first building 13 years ago.

We had no money to pay for a $12,000,000 purchase, but I knew God led me there. So I anointed the walls with oil and prayed…and the miracles started happening!

The owners not only agreed to give us 12 months to pay for it, but they knocked $2,000,000 off the asking price. After the down payment, we had to make monthly payments of $777,777. I didn’t have the money to pay $77,777 let alone $777,777. We needed a MIRACLE…and month after month, God’s people gave sacrificially and provided the resources.

At the end of the year, the building was completely paid for! Back then all we had was a vision. We wanted to create a beacon of hope and a lighthouse of Christian love there just 600 meters from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. It is truly a bridge of love between Bible-believing Christians and Jews.

We wanted to share with the Jewish people the powerful and often untold stories of born-again Christian heroes throughout history who have stood with Israel.

Through the Friends of Zion Museum and the dozens of humanitarian outreaches from our campus, we have done that. Now the nation of Israel knows what true Christian love for them looks like.

When we started, God told me this is a 100-year plan. It’s now been ten years since we officially dedicated the first building on the campus.

My friend the ninth president of Israel, Shimon Peres spoke that evening and told the world what we were doing. He served as our international chairman. Before he died he said, “My grandfather was my hero. He was a cantor rabbi and my Talmud teacher. His hero was the chief rabbi of the synagogue, your great grandfather. Only God could have put us together.”

Everything that has happened in these past ten years that has been an unmistakable light of Christian love was made possible by friends like you.

Your love and generosity are the reason Jewish people lined up by the hundreds to visit an openly Christian ministry. You are truly changing the world. You are watering the seed with a fire hose!

I’m writing today not only to share this wonderful miracle with you, but to ask for your help. Since the beginning, we have made the commitment for the Friends of Zion Museum to use the best and latest technology to communicate the message of Christian love.

Right now we are in the process of upgrading some of the exhibits — not so we can do something fancy, but to achieve maximum impact as we share the message of Christian love. This is the message Israel needs to hear right now, and together we are delivering it.

The cost of operating the museum and the Friends of Zion Center with so many outreaches to those in urgent need is staggering. In fact, our current budget for just those operations in Jerusalem is over $3 million a year! That is over $8,200 – every day of every week for the entire year!

Almost 400,000 Israelis have gone through the museum, many weeping, saying things like, “We are not alone.” Millions more have been impacted by visiting us online.

I told you it was a miracle that we were able to secure that amazing campus in Jerusalem, but I have to tell you, it’s just as miraculous that we’ve been able to operate every day…now for ten years!

So let me ask you…would you please prayerfully consider how God would have you respond to help this center shine out as a bright light of Christian love? Every gift will help. Every gift will be a blessing to masses of Jewish people who come to the FOZ Center. Did you know that over 50% of the visitors to our campus are JEWISH? What an amazing testimony!

We must keep on telling…and showing…Jewish people true Christian love, but we can’t do it without your help. Your generous gift today will show God’s Chosen People that they are not alone.

PLEASE be as generous as you can. With your gift — whether large or small — you will be planting a seed that we know will produce a harvest.

There may be some for whom God will lay it on your heart to commit to making a monthly gift of support as a Defender of Zion. Your ongoing help lays a foundation on which we can continue to build to show the whole House of Israel that although they do have real enemies, they also have true and faithful friends as well. There is a place below where you can join us in this way.

I want to establish a Friends of Zion Board of Governors for those who give $1,000 or more. It can be with four gifts of $250, or two gifts of $500, or 10 gifts of $100. The names of our board members will scroll on the wall so everyone who comes to FOZ can bless you.

Whatever you can do will be put to work immediately. I’m looking forward to hearing from you very soon. God bless you.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans

P.S. The most common statement we hear after Jewish people go through the Friends of Zion Museum is, “We are not alone.” This is the message you are sending to the whole nation of Israel through your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team. As you send your gift today, please consider joining us as a Defender of Zion with a gift each month. Thank you so very much.

Showing God’s Love in Action

YES, Dr. Evans, I want to join you on the Friends of Zion Board of Governors.
