Be a Light of Hope to the Nation of Israel
“I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the LORD. —Jeremiah 23:4
Dear Friend,
The nation of Israel has known a lot of dark days recently. The Jewish people know all too well how deeply they are hated — not because of anything they have done, but simply because they are Jewish.
In this hour of darkness, there is an urgent need for light and hope, and that is what God is allowing us to provide to His Chosen People.
Over the past ten years, we have completely changed the narrative in Israel. A decade ago, most Jewish people did not know what a Christian friend of Israel looked like. They do now…and the reason they do is because that is what you and I have shown them.
As a result of what we are doing, the Prime Minister, my friend of almost 45 years has brought the leaders of his country as well as world leaders to your Friends of Zion Center. He has given us his wholehearted endorsement.
To the best of my knowledge, there hasn’t been a Christian ministry with this much influence in Israel since the first century church.
We are doing something that is truly great for God.
We have been battling lies with truth since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. More than 50 million people around the globe have viewed our hostage family videos. No other ministry in the world has had such a response. All glory to the Lord!
Most Jewish people think Christians hate them. That’s what my mother thought. She told me, “Christians hate Jews. Christians kill Jews.” Her grandfather — the man she named me after — was burned to death inside his synagogue with 2,000 other Jews while the people outside — people who claimed to be Christians — celebrated.
Of course, you and I know that nothing could be further from true Christianity. And now together we are showing Christian love in action to the whole House of Israel.
In many ways, we are acting as pastors to the nation of Israel.
The metaphor the Bible uses for pastors most often is that of shepherds. The Word of God tells us that He places shepherds to take care of His people…and that is what we are doing together every day. A shepherd has two main responsibilities for the sheep in his care.
First, a shepherd must fight against the enemies that threaten the flock.
The Jerusalem Prayer Team is a powerful and effective voice in the fight against anti-Semitism. This ancient evil is alive and well in our world today, and it requires a response from us. The Jew-haters are open and public in their disdain for God’s Chosen People.
We see that on display on college and university campuses across America. We see it in the streets of our largest cities as mass protests speak out against Israel. We sadly even see it in pulpits as some churches adopt the false doctrine of Replacement Theology to teach that the church has replaced Israel, and the Old Testament promises are no longer in effect.
The Jerusalem Prayer Team is fighting Jew-hatred every day.
We have a massive online presence even in Muslim nations, and we are telling the truth and speaking out against evil. Our Media Center at the Friends of Zion Center is a vital communications hub that is even used by the government of Israel to spread the truth around the world.
Second, a shepherd must care for the needs of the flock. The Jerusalem Prayer Team is reaching out in Christian love every day to meet the urgent humanitarian needs of suffering Jewish people.
The economic devastation of the long war has been incredible. Jobs have been lost, businesses closed, homes destroyed, and families shattered. The government is struggling to survive, and there isn’t enough money to go around.
Your Friends of Zion Center is the hub of bustling activity reaching out to meet these vital needs. We deliver food to more than 3,000 poor Holocaust survivors every week. We house refugee families with nowhere to live. We host classes for school children. We distribute food, medicine, clothing, clean water, and so much more. We welcome young IDF soldiers to see and hear that they have Christian friends.
When God placed the vision for this ministry in my heart, He told me it was a 100-year plan. What we are doing in Israel and around the world through FOZ is your legacy. Decades after you are gone, your seeds will continue to bring forth a harvest and echo throughout eternity.
But that can only happen as generous friends like you make it possible.
I am asking you today to send your most generous, Holy Spirit-led gift so that the vital work of the Jerusalem Prayer Team to defend and bless God’s Chosen People can continue.
I thank you in advance for your quick response.
Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans
P.S. God has given us favor in Israel with government leaders, religious leaders, the military and the education establishment in truly miraculous ways. The doors are open because of the work that we have done together. Will you help us walk through those doors to do even more to show true Christian love in action to the Jewish people? I pray your answer will be YES.
Shepherding the
Nation of Israel Together
God has given us a powerful and unique opportunity to be the light of hope and love that Israel and the Jewish people so urgently need to see in these dark days. Together we are defending Israel against the deadly threat of anti-Semitism. Together we are comforting those who mourn in Zion and meeting their most urgent needs. Please be as generous as you can when you give today.
YES, Dr. Evans, I want to do my part to shepherd the nation of Israel. My gift for the Jerusalem Prayer Team is:
