Shaping the Future of Israel
Dear Friend,
When I saw what I’m about to share with you, I didn’t want to believe it. It’s so tragic…and so dangerous.
But we can’t afford to ignore this ugly truth.
Half of the young people in the United States don’t think Israel has a right to exist! The liberal universities funded by Muslim Gulf States have convinced them to reject Israel and support a Palestinian state.
You have seen them demonstrating on university campuses against the victims of the October 7th attack and in support of Hamas. It’s sick!
I wish that weren’t true because of what it means for the future of Israel.
I wish it weren’t true because of what it means for the future of America.
I wish it weren’t true because of what it means for the future of the church.
And I wish it weren’t true because of what it means for the future of the world.
But it is true…and God is calling you and me to do something about it.
By the way, it is not just God calling for our help. When I met with my friend Prime Minister Netanyahu on my last trip to Israel, he talked to me again about the vital importance of reaching the next generation.
In January, I was at the Blair House, the official guest residence of the President of the United States, with Netanyahu and Franklin Graham, Billy Graham’s son. Franklin asked, “What is the #1 thing we can do to help Israel?” The prime minister responded, “Reach the youth of America.”
And as bad as the numbers among young people in America are, in most of the rest of the world they are much, much worse.
The demonic evil of anti-Semitism is finding fertile ground in young minds. We see it on display in the protests at colleges and universities across America and around the world.
These young people have been indoctrinated to believe that Israel is an oppressive colonizing state that has no right to exist.
And these are the leaders of tomorrow. These are the people who will be making the economic, political, and military decisions that will dictate the future.
What will happen if that future is run by those who hate Israel and think it has no right to survive?
We’ve seen what happens before.
That is what happened in Germany during the Holocaust.
The six million Jews — one million of them children — who perished died because a generation had been convinced, starting with the young people, that they had no right to exist.
Hitler blamed the collapse of Germany’s economy on the Jewish people, and they became scapegoats for all the problems.
That is the exact same message young people are receiving today.
And unless those lies are countered with the truth, the tragedy of history will repeat itself.
My beloved friend and partner, it is up to us to change the future by reaching the next generation.
As you know this is very personal to me because of the abuse I received as a child. My father beat me and my mother because he believed I was not his son.
Our neighbors threw tomatoes at my mother when she went shopping and called her “Jew witch.” I know firsthand the tragic toll that anti-Semitism takes. And we must stand against it.
But reaching young people today is different.
They don’t watch television for news like previous generations. Their news comes from social media…Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more.
The only way to reach them is to go where they are with the truth.
We have been focused on our social media outreach for years. A few years ago, we were being so effective at reaching Muslim young people online that the governments of Pakistan and other Muslim countries complained so much that Facebook shut down our page and removed 47 million followers.
We know how to reach out effectively to young people, but it requires a very intense effort.
We have to have people online responding to events.
We have to develop programs to strategically reach out in the right ways.
We have to have people monitoring lies and threats against Jewish people so we can react.
And of course, we can’t stop meeting the urgent needs of suffering Jewish people. If you could spend just one day at our Friends of Zion Center in Jerusalem, you would be amazed at the impact we are having.
By meeting the urgent needs of refugees, Holocaust survivors, widows and orphans, injured soldiers, families of hostages, and so many others, we are showing true Christian love in action to people who have never seen it before.
But we can’t do all this — and do everything necessary to reach the next generation — without the help of friends like you.
I’m asking you today to do something great for God…something that will touch the future and echo into eternity.
I will say it again as I place my hand on this letter praying for the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I’m asking you today to do something great for God…something that will touch the future and echo into eternity.
I’m asking you today to answer the call of Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Nation of Israel by doing the thing he has identified as the most important thing we can do for his people: reaching the next generation.
“You have come into the kingdom for such a time as this.”
I’m asking you today to answer the call of God to comfort and defend His Chosen People by sending a generous Holy Spirit-led gift so that the vital work of the Jerusalem Prayer Team — not just in Israel but all around the world can continue and grow.
Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans
P.S. Again and again while I was in Israel recently, I saw the incredible impact you are having on the whole nation. There simply aren’t enough words to express my gratitude to you for joining hands with us in this great cause. You are doing something unique and special, and it will never be forgotten. Thank you in advance for standing with us in our expanded outreach to the next generation. God bless you for blessing His Chosen People.
Help Reach the Next Generation with the Truth about Israel
We are working to shape the future by reaching young people around the world who will become effective and powerful voices for Israel in their own nations, and effective and powerful voices to Israel, showing the Jewish people true Christian love in action.
Your gift today will make it possible for us to increase these efforts even as we continue our vital outreaches to bless and comfort the suffering Jewish people.
Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today.
YES, Dr. Evans, I want to be part of reaching the next generation so they will stand in the gap for Israel and continue to meet the urgent needs of suffering Jewish people through my support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team.
