A vital part of God’s plan to win the war for Israel’s future

Just a few days before the Twelve Day War started, I wrote and told you about the upcoming launch of our Ambassador Program to train leaders to reach the next generation. In that letter, I told you how vitally important this new outreach would be.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, my cherished friend for 45 years, officially approved the program, as did the state of Israel. He told me he urgently needed pastors and leaders to reach the youth that have turned against the nation of Israel. I know you’ve seen it on college campuses across the country.

I told you it was urgent, but the events of the past couple of months prove that it’s even more than that. The hope for the future of Israel is in our hands.

When Israel took military action to stop Iran’s nuclear program, we saw an outbreak of huge and sometimes even violent protests calling for the world to turn against Israel. We saw the Jewish people slandered and blamed for this act of self-defense. 

The energy for those protests and condemnation of Israel is coming primarily from young people.

This would be tragic enough, but it gets even worse when you consider how much of this vile anti-Semitism we are seeing here in America. Today it is the worst it has been since it swept across Europe before the Holocaust.

It is impossible to overstate how important America’s support for Israel has been to the survival of the Jewish state. We saw it demonstrated again during the war when President Trump authorized Operation Midnight Hammer to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities with weapons no other country in the world has available.

And yet that support is far from guaranteed for the future. One recent poll showed young people sharply divided. While 52% said they supported Israel, 48% supported Hamas…a deadly terrorist organization that carried out the brutal attack on Israel on October 7, 2023…and a group that openly calls for Israel to be not just defeated but completely destroyed.

We saw further evidence of this when the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City was won by the most anti-Israel candidate in the race…a man who repeatedly refused to say that Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish state.

It’s no wonder that my dear friend Prime Minister Netanyahu told me that the most important thing we can do for his country is reach the next generation. And that’s why we must launch the Ambassador Program as quickly as possible.

The Prime Minister of Israel has officially endorsed our Friends of Zion Ambassador Program. He has even agreed to sign the diplomas for those who go through the program! Our vision is for pastors and leaders to become ambassadors to reach the next generation.

As the first step in the Ambassador Program, we are working to bring 1,000 pastors and youth leaders to Israel this year to be commissioned as ambassadors. And God has given us an unprecedented miracle. The government of Israel will invest a dollar for every dollar you give toward this effort. Nothing like this has ever happened before. For the Jewish state to partner with a Christian ministry in this way is miraculous!

The budget for this first phase to find and recruit the initial participants and launch a massive campaign against anti-Semitism is $5,000,000. That means we must raise $2.5 million, and the government of Israel will match that.

As I write this – we’ve received a total of $505,209. 

I am so thankful for every friend who has stepped forward to be part of this vital defense of the Jewish state and the Jewish people. But we must raise the rest of the needed funds as quickly as possible. There is no time to waste. The enemies of Israel are not taking the summer off, and the threat continues to grow.

There has been a concerted effort made over the past few years to turn the hearts and minds of young people away from supporting Israel. Demonic principalities and powers have used the Internet and social media to spread lies about Israel and the Jewish people and convince the next generation that Israel does not deserve support…in fact, that the Jewish state does not even deserve to exist.

As you read this today, a war against truth is being waged against Israel’s very right to exist. The youth of our generation by and large have rejected a biblical worldview and are embracing the lie that Israel is an apartheid state robbing Palestinians of their homeland. In the name of social justice, they are turning against Israel.

That’s why we’re working on the launch of the Ambassador Program, an outreach aimed at today’s young people. We will be working to bring leaders to Israel to equip them to stand for the Jewish people. We will be working to counter the lies being spread on social media about Israel. We will be producing content and training teams and so much more.

This is a vital part of God’s plan to win the war for Israel’s future.

But of course this is going to be an extremely expensive project, and it is happening at a time when the need for our humanitarian outreaches is more important than ever. 

We can’t stop feeding poor Holocaust survivors or helping those injured in Iran’s attack or ministering to the hostage families or housing poor refugee families or ministering to injured IDF soldiers or any of the other vital things we are doing.
