The Truth About Israel’s Greatest Battle

As you read this, there is a battle being fought in the spirit realm greater than any battle I’ve seen in my lifetime. No battle can be won in the physical realm until it is first fought and won in the spiritual realm.

I’m talking about the battle over Israel’s future.

Much of the world thinks it doesn’t matter, but the outcome of this conflict is central to God’s plan for the future of our world. Thousands of years ago, God made an eternal promise to Abraham. Most of the time, people focus on the blessing promised in Genesis 12:3, but there is another promise.

God announced that He would curse those who curse Abraham’s children…the nation of Israel. In Hebrew, the word for cursed means “to visit with heavy blows.” All around us, we see individuals and nations doing exactly that.

Some 150 nations have now recognized Palestine as a country…something it is not and never has been. This is delusional…and it is outrageous! What is Israel supposed to do? If they cave to the demands of the “two state solution”—which is nothing but an illusion—they are setting up an enemy dedicated to their destruction right next door…but that is what the world is demanding.

Among the leaders of this movement to force Israel to give up the Bible lands are countries that once were Israel’s friends like Canada, Great Britain, France, and Australia. This is totally demonic, and you can be sure it’s being orchestrated by demonic spirits.

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is ground zero for spiritual warfare in our world. In Isaiah 14 the devil’s plan was revealed to ascend the sides of the north (an ancient reference to the Temple Mount) and rule from there. It was not by accident that Satan took Jesus to the Temple Mount for one of his efforts to tempt the Lord.

It’s no coincidence that the attack on Israel on October 7th was named for the famous black-domed mosque on the Temple Mount. That’s why Hamas called their invasion the Al-Aqsa Flood. This is what a spirit war looks like.

Tiny Israel, which is the size of New Jersey, has experienced not hundreds of terrorist attacks, but thousands. I have met with the survivors and victims of many of them.

I’ve been in the hospitals comforting the survivors. I held the feet of a precious ballerina who was blown up in the coffee shop she worked at. Her entire body was burnt so severely that the only thing I could touch was her feet to pray for her. I held the hand of a precious rabbi crying because his young son was murdered and his blood was smeared on the walls of a cave. 

I held in my arms a precious mother. The only thing she could find of her daughter after the suicide bombing was one hand, and she knew it was her daughter’s hand because she did her nails that morning. My beloved friend and partner, this war is real, and we must respond.

It is no accident that your Friends of Zion Center is just 600 meters from the Temple Mount. God placed us there “for such a time as this” to do our part to fight and win the spirit war that is raging. That’s why you are so important as a Jerusalem Prayer Team member.

God has a word for you today, and I’m certain of it. Isaiah 60, verses 1 through 3 says, “Arise and shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord, is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people. But the Lord shall rise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you. And the Gentiles shall come to your light and kings to the brightness of the rising.”

The Hebrew word for “glory” is kabod, which literally means heavy favor. Just as God visits heavy blows on those who curse Israel, He delivers heavy favor to friends like you who bless Israel and stand with and for the Jewish people.

Long ago Esther heard the words, “You have come into the kingdom for such a time as this.” God is speaking those same words to you and to me right now. We are under divine assignment.

One thousand Christian leaders will be commissioned in Jerusalem very soon thanks to you to become ambassadors for the nation of Israel to do what I do. They will be trained by me. The impact that they can have on the nation of Israel cannot be calculated.

Among these first ambassadors are very significant Christian leaders and pastors, including the president of the Southern Baptist Convention, Clint Pressley, and the pastors of some of the largest churches in America.

Here’s why it matters so much. One-third of American college students believe the Palestinians are a better ally for the United States than Israel, according to a recent poll by Yale University’s Buckley Institute. The survey of 820 undergraduates across the U.S., conducted in early September, found that 33 percent of respondents said Palestine was a better ally for the United States, while only 29% said Israel was the better option of the two. The remaining 38% said they were unsure. Among self-identified liberals, the Palestine option was preferred 46%-25%. Among conservatives, Israel was ahead 43%-16%. Those who identified as moderates preferred Israel only by a margin of 30%-26%.

The Ambassador Program is an enormous project that our ministry and the state of Israel are partnering together to do. It’s the first time in history that the state of Israel has partnered with a Bible-believing ministry to do something of this significance. This is an urgent financial need, and we must not let Israel down when they are doing so much. Even after the government of Israel covers travel expenses and lodging, the expenses for venues and materials and more are enormous for us. We need hundreds of thousands of dollars that we have not raised. So I need you to be as generous as you can.
