The people of Israel need a light of hope

Dear Friend,

Shalom, shalom from your home in the Holy City, your Friends of Zion Center.

I was here in Israel when the current round of fighting started at the end of February, and I am back again because as the attacks continue and the damage increases, the people of Israel need a light of hope and love…and that is what you are giving them today in this very dark and dangerous hour.

Just as I did on my first trip, I have been going out with first responders to the site of attacks, helping where it is most needed. 

When I arrived, flying into Egypt and then driving across the border, our team briefed me on the latest plague of attacks, and on the mounting damage across the country. It was shocking beyond belief.

Nowhere is safe. Nothing is off-limits. 

Iran has hit the Old City of Jerusalem, with one rocket striking just outside the Temple Mount. Iran has struck at Dimona, the site of Israel’s nuclear power plant. From the north to the south, the nation of Israel is under attack.

Iran has been using cluster bombs, which are banned under international treaty. These bombs allow a single ballistic missile to create multiple, spread-out explosions. They are indiscriminate…but the demonic mullahs of Tehran don’t care who gets hurt as long as they can bring more death and destruction to Israel.

Just days ago a 90-year-old Holocaust survivor was hit in the head and killed by a cluster bomb. Thousands have been injured. Thousands more have lost their homes and everything they own.

And the sad truth is that it’s not just in Israel. Jewish people are being attacked around the world. Synagogues are being bombed and burned and attacked by gunmen. Jewish businesses are being vandalized and boycotted.

Every Jewish person on our planet today is at risk. Every Jewish person on our planet is a target.

It’s hard to believe but there are people openly cheering for Israel’s defeat and defending and supporting those who attack innocent Jews. Podcasters like Tucker Carlson are blaming Jews for everything that is wrong in the world…just like Hitler did to lay the groundwork for the Holocaust.

Millions of people around the world admire Hitler and hope to finish the job he started by destroying the Jewish people. 

Much of the world hates Israel. 

That’s not because the small country has such great success and ingenuity and creativity. That’s not because of their vast resources. They don’t have much except what they have built with their blood and sweat. 

Israel astonishes the world with its military inventions, medical, security, and technological architectural intellectual inventions.

Israel survives because of God. The enemies of Israel hate the fact that the Jews are God’s Chosen People. 

This is not new. 

Throughout history efforts have been made to destroy the Jewish race.  Every single one has failed. 

There is no historical precedent for surviving the Babylonians, the Romans, the Crusaders, the Inquisition, the pogroms, and the Holocaust.

Israel doesn’t make sense unless you believe your Bible and believe in miracles.

And God has a special role for you and me to play in the continued survival of His Chosen People. God has birthed Friends of Zion with a 100-Year Plan to bless and defend the Jewish state and the Jewish people.

It’s impossible to overstate the impact your generosity and love are having here in Israel. So many times, people say to me, “We are not alone. We have hope!”

They have that hope because of friends like you. And today I’m asking you to reach out to those who are suffering and in such great need right now.

That’s right. Whatever you are able to give today will be doubled to help twice as many people.

So I’m asking you to rush your most generous holy offering today. We have the people on the ground here in Israel to reach out to those who are suffering. We are doing all that we can, but the requests keep coming.
