Together We Can Build His Church in Jerusalem
Dear Friend,
We serve a God who has no limits. The word “impossible” doesn’t apply to any situation if God is involved. A nearly 100-year-old man (Abraham) and a nearly 90-year-old lady (Sarah) can still have a baby boy (Isaac) and give birth to a great nation.
Today I get to tell you about another heavenly birth in Jerusalem that you will have the honor of being part of, like the wisemen who presented gifts to honor the Lord when He was born.
As you may know, it’s been almost 15 years now since we purchased the first building in Jerusalem that is now home to the Friends of Zion Museum, where more than 450,000 Israelis have come to see the true stories of Christian love for the Jewish people.
Located just 600 meters from the Temple Mount, your Friends of Zion Center is the brightest light of Christian love the modern Jewish state has ever experienced, and its ground zero for the largest prayer movement in Israel’s history.
We are fighting a spiritual battle, challenging Satan where he issued his threat to God: “I will ascend to heaven I will raise my throne above the stars of God. I will sit on the mount of assembly in the parts of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. I will make myself like the most high.”
And in addition to fighting the spirit war, we have become the 9-1-1 center for suffering Jewish people.
They call us because your love and generosity have helped so many. They know that true Christians love and care for them because that’s what they have seen from you.
I remember placing my hands on that first building, knowing that God was leading, but also knowing it would take a miracle.
And there were miracles — not just one but many. Many people came to me and told me not to do it. They said, “You will fail. The funds will never come.” But God said, “It’s My dream, and I will provide.”
The owners of the building took $2,000,000 off the purchase price and offered to finance it as well. Our monthly payments were $777,000…what a prophetic number!
That was impossible in the natural, but God worked and generous friends and partners like you were so generous. Month after month, we made the payments, and at the end of the year the building was paid in full!
All praise and glory to God!
Then other buildings followed. Our visitor’s center…the Holocaust survivor apartments…the classrooms…the Friends of Zion Media Center…the underground kitchen complex…and so much more. God told me it was His 100-year plan.
In every one of those cases God worked, His people gave, and every need was met.
Every building was purchased and paid in full. There is not a penny of debt for the entire campus! Today your Friends of Zion Center is truly unique. There is nothing like it anywhere else in Israel, nor the world.
God has laid it on my heart to ask you for a memorial gift. The first time in the Bible that it talks about memorial stones is in the story of Jacob. After keeping a divine appointment, Jacob set up a pillar and called the place Bethel, the house of God. In the New Testament, Peter called Believers “living stones” built into a spiritual household and shaped together.
Now God is calling us to build another house of God. The Jerusalem Church is going to be amazing. Here’s the story of how we got here, and what God has in store for the Friends of Zion Center campus.
For almost 15 years now, there was one part of the property, a key corner of the overall campus, that we could not buy. We were told in no uncertain terms that it was not for sale…and would not be for sale. We made inquiries several times over the years, but the only answer was a completely closed door.
It is actually three buildings that are connected together and to our campus. I have prayed and fasted over this property, waiting patiently for the Lord to answer my prayer.
Today I can tell you with full assurance — I have just seen it proved once again — there is nothing impossible with God! God has given me a Word to build a house of worship there, the Jerusalem Church.
We have been in contact with the owners of the property, and they are now willing to sell it to us!
I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have prayed about this over the past nearly 15 years. I fasted. I shared the need with prayer warriors and intercessors. Nothing happened. At one point about five years ago, there was a glimmer of hope, but then the door closed again.
Now the door is wide open…and I’m asking you to walk through it with me.
For logistical reasons, this purchase will be a huge upgrade to the Friends of Zion Center campus.
It will allow us to streamline the property and control access. It will remove obstacles that have sometimes arisen in the past. That alone would be a huge blessing, but there is more.
This is far more than just a property acquisition. God has placed a dream in my heart to have a church — an evangelical church — in Jerusalem. There are almost none there now, though there are many traditional Catholic and Orthodox and Armenian churches.
What a blessing it will be for Believers who have traveled to Israel to attend church in the Holy City and worship there together. What a blessing it will be to the people of Israel to see their Friends of Zion gathered to pray for and support them. What a blessing it will be to have part of your Friends of Zion Center campus be an actual church.
There is nowhere on the current campus that would be a suitable home for a church, so we have been waiting to see that dream come to life, but this property will be perfect for that purpose…and much more.
This is an opportunity of a lifetime, and it must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity while the door is open.
The Church was God’s idea, not man’s, and He birthed it in Jerusalem almost 2,000 years ago. Jesus said that the gates of Hell would not stand against the Church. Now God has given us the vision — it is not man’s idea — to establish a new church in the Holy City that will be a memorial and a legacy long after we are gone.
Today I’m asking you to be a founder of the Jerusalem Church.
I’m asking you to help us bring this dream to life and do more than ever before to show Jewish people that true Believers love them and stand with them.
The total cost for the purchase of the property is $3.5 million. We must make an immediate payment of $1.5 million and then pay off the balance by October 1.
In the natural, this is impossible.
We are in the middle of preparation for the Global Prayer Meeting, the largest prayer event in the history of the world, which will be hosted at the Western Wall on October 7. We are meeting the needs of thousands of suffering Jewish people, especially orphans and elderly Holocaust survivors every week.
And we can’t stop any of those things. In fact, we need to be doing more.
But this building purchase is an opportunity that may well never come again. And the impact we will be able to have with an evangelical church housed in Jerusalem will be an even brighter light of Christian love than anything that has come so far.
We simply can’t do it without the help of friends like you.
So today I’m asking you to send a special, sacrificial, Holy Spirit-led legacy gift for the Jerusalem Church. When you give, you are sending a powerful and unmistakable message to the whole House of Israel and indeed the entire world.
When you send your gift of $100 or more, we will send you a special Founder’s Certificate honoring your role in bringing the Jerusalem Church to life. We will also send you the FOZ Heritage Center Pocket New Testament
I am praying that some friends will respond with a gift of $1,000 or more. If you need to, you can send ten gifts of $100. When you do, we will add your name to a special scrolling wall that will be inside the Jerusalem Church where it will stand for decades to come, long after you are in heaven. You’ll also receive a Founder’s Certificate and a FOZ Heritage Center Pocket New Testament.
Maybe God will lead you to do even more. When you send your gift of $10,000, or ten gifts of $1,000, we will carve your name into a special stone at the Jerusalem Church. Everyone who comes will know that you were part of bringing this church to life. You’ll also receive a Founder’s Certificate and a FOZ Heritage Center Pocket New Testament.
Today you have a chance to be part of creating a legacy. Long after we are gone, the Jerusalem Church will be part of the Friends of Zion Center campus in the Holy City, standing as a lighthouse of Christian love.
This is a memorial that you will leave behind for the generations to come, like the stone altars that God commanded Joshua to set up as a reminder to be seen in the future.
This church will be a witness that continues. It will speak for you even after you reach heaven. It will help shape the future of the world.
When Jesus was in Bethany, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume. She broke it and anointed the Lord with the oil. IT was her very best gift. Jesus said, “Truly, I tell you whenever this gospel is preached throughout the world what you have done will be told in memory of you.”
You will be remembered in the same way with your best gift for the Jerusalem Church.
Please don’t wait.
The deadline for the first payment is coming soon, and we must make it on time as well as continue all of our work to bless and defend the Jewish state and the Jewish people.
Thank you in advance for your generous response.
Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans
P.S. I am praying for God to unleash miraculous favor and power into the lives of every friend who joins in this project with us. If you remember the story of the centurion who came and asked Jesus to heal his servant, the disciples asked Jesus to answer his request because he loved their nation and had given his own money to build a synagogue for their town. As I write you, I am saying to Jesus, “Please answer my partner’s prayer. They love Your nation and Your Chosen People and are helping build the Jerusalem Church.”
Be Part of the Miracle Today
Your generous gift for Friends of Zion will allow us to purchase the property for the Friends of Zion Center that will be home to a new evangelical church, even as we continue to work on the Global Prayer Meeting and meet the needs of suffering Jewish people across Israel. This is only possible because friends like you love God’s Chosen People and give to make the dream become a reality.
