They bind the breastplate by its rings unto the rings of the ephod, with a ribbon of blue…Exodus 39:21 (YLT)
Dear Friend,
Most people aren’t aware of the powerful symbolism of a blue ribbon in the Bible, and they wouldn’t understand why I’ve sent you a blue ribbon along with this letter.
But I know you know and believe in the power of prayer, and I just had to share this with you.
When the high priest went before the Lord for the people of Israel, he had to wear a very special and specific set of clothing. The outer pieces, the breastplate and the ephod, were tied together with a blue ribbon.
It was a sign that the high priest was ready to stand in the presence of God — not for himself, but for others.
Yes, a blue ribbon is a sign of intercessory prayer.
I’ve sent you a blue ribbon that I hope you will send back to me because God has called me to a special season of intercession for you, my beloved friend and partner.
Your help with the vital work of Friends of Zion is so precious to me, but it is even more important to the precious suffering Jewish people we are helping every day.
I’m also asking you to share your greatest prayer need with me…there’s a place below where you can do that.
We’ve seen so many wonderful and miraculous answers to prayer, and I know that you qualify for God’s promised blessing because of your love and care for His Chosen People. So I will confidently take your request before the throne of grace, trusting God to hear and answer our prayers together.
I want you to write your name on the ribbon and send it back to me along with your prayer request.
We are going to take these ribbons to Israel and anoint them with oil as a point of contact for your greatest needs. We will place them in the ground at Mount Calvary, where the Lord shed His blood and gave you His greatest offering, believing God for resurrection power in your life.
Right now we are fighting against a principalities-and-powers attack.
This battle has been fought through the centuries as Satan tries to destroy the Jewish people.
But miracles happen when God’s people pray. And that’s what I want to see in your life.
On my last trip to Israel, I prayed at the Western Wall with the chief rabbi of the Kotel wearing a blue ribbon on my shirt. This blue ribbon is a holy prayer cloth and a symbol of a covenant.
Do you remember the story from the life of Paul? Acts 19:12 says, “So that handkerchiefs or aprons from his body were brought unto the sick, and the diseases departed from them and the evil spirits went out of them.”
I believe the blue ribbon I am sending you will be an anointed point of contact to do the same in your life.
Thank you so much for being part of this great prayer movement on behalf of God’s Chosen People.
As part of Friends of Zion, you are part of the largest army of intercessors in the history of the world.
Never before have so many millions joined together to fight and win the spirit wars that are raging in our world today.
And we’re about to hold the biggest prayer meeting in our history…in fact, this is going to be the biggest prayer meeting in the history of the world!
On October 7, the third anniversary of the deadly Hamas invasion, we are going to host a global prayer event for five million intercessors around the world at the Kotel, the Western Wall, in Jerusalem.
We have the full support of the government of Israel and the chief rabbi for this event.
It’s an amazing, unprecedented miracle door God has placed before us.
And I’m delighted to tell you another piece of amazing news. We have received a $500,000 matching gift challenge from a major international Jewish organization for this event.
That means that your gift today will do twice as much to help make this great global prayer event a reality.
You have an open door of opportunity to help shake the world.
There is no power like the power of prayer.
But the only way we are able to do all this — not to mention the rest of the urgent work we are doing in Israel and around the world — is if friends like you make it possible.
The gift you make today will literally touch the future of the entire world.
There’s no doubt in my mind that this global prayer meeting will be one we look back on for years to come.
When we bless what God wants to have blessed, we turn His head and move His arm to action in our lives.
I’m asking you to give today. We can’t do what needs to be done unless friends like you make it possible.
Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans
P.S. Please return your ribbon with your name written on it to me so that we can anoint it with oil and get it ready to go to Jerusalem. I believe God is about to unleash amazing favor and power, and I don’t want you to miss it.
P.P.S. Thank you for being a “blue ribbon” intercessor and part of Friends of Zion. And please give today for the matching gift challenge so we can hold the largest prayer event in history. God bless you.
