God is Calling Us to Build His Church in Jerusalem
Dear Friend,
Shalom from Jerusalem and your Friends of Zion Center.
Last night was Shabbat. I celebrated with Jewish people here in Jerusalem, and twice during the service, they stopped to praise God and give thanks for what you are doing.
The rabbi, who knows my story well said, “You hear the voice of God. Forty-six years ago, God sent you to Jerusalem, and you told Prime Minister Begin you were going to build a bridge of love between Bible-believing Christians and Jews, and it has come to pass.” To God be the glory!
I’ve been here in Israel working to bless, comfort, help, and encourage precious Jewish people who have suffered and endured and lost so much in the war that began with the deadly Hamas invasion on October 7, 2023. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for touching their lives in such a powerful way.
And I want to make sure that you know how deeply they appreciate your help, especially in this hour of danger and crisis.
Yesterday before the Sabbath service, I went to the Kotel, the Western Wall. Those ancient stones bear silent witness to the past, but they are also a voice speaking to the future. While I was there praying, the Holy Spirit of God blazed the words of Ezekiel across my heart and mind.
Listen today and hear His voice:
The glory of the Lord entered the temple through the gate facing east. Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple. He said: “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet” (Ezekiel 43:4-7).
The Temple Mount is ground zero for spiritual warfare in our world today.
That sacred spot is occupied today by the Dome of the Rock, the famous golden mosque. But it was once the site of the two Jewish temples. And it is still central to God’s plan for the future. The Lord’s feet will stand in this spot. His throne, the center of His rule will be placed there.
Your Friends of Zion Center is just 600 meters away!
And your Friends of Zion Center is about to become home to the Jerusalem Church, an evangelical church in the Holy City.
This will be a place where Believers visiting Israel can worship together. And it will be a place that shows true Christian love in action to the Jewish people.
God gave us this dream many years ago, and now it is coming to life.
God has opened the door for us to purchase the buildings at the corner of the current Friends of Zion Center campus. This is truly a miracle because we’ve been told for more than a decade that they were not and would not be for sale.
Now they are…exactly at the time we need a home for the Jerusalem Church.
Today I’m asking you to be a founder of the Jerusalem church. I’m asking you to help us bring this dream to life and do more than ever before to show Jewish people that true Believers love them and stand with them.
The total cost for the purchase of the property is $3.5 million. We must make an immediate payment of $1.5 million and then pay off the balance by October 1.
The only way this can happen is if God works a miracle…and if friends like you join hands with us to make the dream a reality.
We’re doing this at a time when the humanitarian needs of suffering Jewish people are greater than ever. We’re doing the groundwork for the Global Prayer Meeting on October 7…which will be the largest prayer meeting in history…a battle against principalities and powers like the one Daniel fought so long ago.
But God has given you the opportunity to birth the Jerusalem Church.
This is the opportunity of a lifetime for you that must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity. Jesus told Peter He would build His church, and the gates of Hell would not prevail against it.
When you become a founder of the Jerusalem Church, you are doing something that will echo into eternity.
One hundred years from now, generations that have not yet been born will go there to worship the Lord. They will see your name and call you a blessing. You will not be forgotten.
Will you place your name in Jerusalem today and become a founder of the Jerusalem Church? Will you touch the future of our world in this powerful and prophetic way? God put His name in Jerusalem. It’s the only city on earth that He chose. He put His name there. You can do the same today.
“But you are to seek the place the Lord your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name there for His dwelling. To that place you must go” (Deuteronomy 12:5).
“…Jerusalem, the city the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel in which to put his Name” (1 Kings 11:36).
When you send your gift of $100 or more, we will send you a special Founder’s Certificate honoring your role in bringing the Jerusalem Church to life along with a special edition Friends of Zion Center pocket New Testament. If you need to, you can send two gifts of $50, but I hope you will be part of bringing this miracle to life.
I am praying that some friends will respond with a gift of $1,000 or more. If you need to, you can send ten gifts of $100. When you do, we will add your name to a special scrolling wall that will be inside the Jerusalem Church where it will stand for decades to come, long after you are in heaven.
Jerusalem is the place where heaven and earth met…and where they will meet again.
I am asking you today to do your part to make the Jerusalem Church a reality with your generous gift for Friends of Zion. This is a legacy that will endure long after you and I have gone to heaven.
Please do your best with your generous gift today.
The Jerusalem Church is God’s dream, just as the Friends of Zion Center was. Fourteen years ago, I shared the vision with our partners for the purchase of the first building on the campus. I had no money, and we needed a miracle. The Holy Spirit of God spoke to friends like you to be hands of Jesus and made that miracle a reality.
Now we need another miracle. The door has opened for us to purchase the property that will be home to the Jerusalem Church, the cornerstone of our campus in Jerusalem.
The Holy City was home to the very first church. Now God is calling us to build a church — not just today but for the future.
Will you help bring that church to birth today as a founder? I pray your answer will be yes.
Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans
P.S. It seems like every day brings a new reminder that God’s prophetic clock is ticking loudly. We must act now and do our part to show His love to His Chosen People. That is why God brought us together through Friends of Zion “for such a time as this.” I can’t wait to see how God is going to use the Jerusalem Church in His prophetic plan for the future of our world. Thank you in advance for standing with us with your gift today. God bless you.
Help Bring Prophecy to Life
God has opened a door for us to purchase the property in Jerusalem that will become part of our Friends of Zion Center campus and home to the new Jerusalem Church. Your generous support today will help make this miracle lighthouse of Christian love a reality and touch the lives of thousands of suffering Jewish people.
